On Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at approximately 5:14 a.m., a Deputy with the Bell County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Dodge Avenger, near IH-14 and Simmons Road in Bell County. The unidentified female driver, a sole occupant, exited the vehicle briefly when she immediately returned to the driver seat and fled from the scene before the deputy could identify her. A pursuit ensued on IH-35 when the suspect’s vehicle came to a stop after it struck a tire deflation device near mile marker 300. The female suspect exited the vehicle and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
