Killeen Police conduct an early morning Homicide investigation on S. 56th Street.

Killeen Police responded to the 300 block of S. 56th Street on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at 6:15am, after receiving a call about a male who was thought to be sleeping in the front yard of a residence.  Upon the officers arrival they located a deceased black male in the front yard of the caller.  Donte Javon Samuels, a 22 year old Killeen resident, was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 7:03am; he ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
