Temple Police investigate a late night Home Invasion/Shooting.

Temple Police Officers responded to a shooting on Monday, December 12, 2016, at 11:46pm, in the 1200 block of South 10th Street.  Upon the officers arrival they discovered a male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was immediately transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The preliminary investigation revealed that two males forced entry into the residence and demanded money; at some point the victim was shot and the suspects fled the area.  It is unknown at this time, if anything was taken from the residence.

Detectives with the Temple Police Department General Investigations Unit continue to investigate this incident and information will be released as it becomes available.
